Aurora
Aurora Aksnes was born June 15, 1996 in Stavanger Norway. Professionally known as Aurora and sometimes stylized with lowercase letters, such as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15, 2015 and was praised by musicians and music blogs and the press. The artist has already made two covers that have been viewed by the world's media: Half the World Away by the band Oasis for a Christmas advertisement by John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Her name was also recognized thanks to a Facebook post from Katy Perry where Perry endorsed the song Runaway. Honor her special birthday. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was locating a keyboard within her loft and being fascinated by the music. Parents May-Britt and Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to take up music not as a profession or a hobby, but for growth. She started writing lyrics of her own. Her inspirations include famous writers Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in addition to her attraction to Bjork's style. She began performing their songs in public after her mother suggested that it could aid people in to not become famous through her work but to make everyone else realize the importance of their work and how they can affect the world. Her first piano lessons began at the age of six, and began creating music when she was nine. Her family didn't hear about it until the age of fourteen. Aurora did not have a set goal. According to her, she enjoys writing songs. Music is for her the best way to feel whatever.
